Unity’s staff celebrated the new Millennium’s eve

Keeping the culture of the institution, Unity’s staff celebrated the eve of the New Year.  As this New Year is special for it is the beginning of a new millennium, staff representatives promised to work up to the vision of unity.

In the program, Unity Groove Band & Unity Cultural Band performed their best to Unity’s community.  (Unity Cultural Band is performing at the Addis Ababa Hilton every other day starting Friday September 7, 2007 in relation to the millennium celebration)

The Human Resources Manager, Wro. Fantaye Awash hoped Unity’s community all the best in the upcoming year, after the staff served with traditional lunch.  Consequently, best administrative, and academic staff of the year, and best academic and administrative departments of the year were prized.  Passing all the extensive selection criteria, the General Service Department from the administrative wing and the Department of Economics from the academic wing won the 1999 (2006/7) best departments cup.  And, Dr. Rakshit Negi from the Department of Management won the best academic staff of 1999 (2006/7) prize of 5000 ETB.

The office of Corporate Communications would like to extend its gratefulness for all the individuals in the committee who engaged their time and resources and for their unreserved commitment in organizing the event. Special thanks to Unity Bands.
