The different activities of the library are organized and performed in the following main sections.

1. Technical processing section (acquiring, classifying, cataloguing, distributing etc…)
2. Circulation section (issuing books for short loan and long loan service)
3. Ethiopian collection section (books and other documents about Ethiopia written locally and abroad)
4. Reader Service (handling libraries’ database services, reference services reader advisor service)
