As a natural science, Mathematics has peculiar characteristics
of its own; which make you think. The ultimate purpose of Mathematics
is not to add, subtract or multiply numbers as some used to say.
Mathematics is a science that enhances the ability of mind to
think and reason out logically, critically and strategically.
Had it not been for Mathematics, all the scientific innovations
and marvelous analysis in social science wouldn’t have been
possible.
