| General Objectives
The main objective of the department is to produce competent
B.Sc. Degree graduates in MIS program. A successful MIS graduate
may join the business and industry with any of the following Job
Titles:
- Information Systems Analyst
- Computer Programmer (Applications Developer)
- Database Administrator
- Software Engineer
- Network Administrator
- Information Resource Manager
- Information Systems Consultant
- Web-Master, etc.
Specific Objectives The specific objectives
of the MIS program are to:
- Develop business oriented systems professionals who have experience
in improving organizational processes while participating in
problem solving teams in project-oriented environments;
- Challenge students to identify organizational opportunities
that can be enhanced by information technology;
- Prepare students with the communication skills needed to act
as liaison officers between technical and non-technical members
of system development teams;
- Prepare students to design various aspects of information
systems, including database, telecommunication and interface
components;
- Prepare students to lead and manage teams responsible for
developing and supporting information systems.
