Major activities of the Department include coordination of the teaching-learning process (allocating course loads to instructions; follow up the distribution of course manuals to the students as well application of the course manual and Continuous evaluation modalities); meeting students (listening to requests, complaints and comments by students and giving prompt and appropriate responses); research (encouraging instructors to write and present papers at the department seminars, annual multidisciplinary conferences of the UUC, and other similar fora outside the UUC); and extra-curricular activities that add value to realize the objectives of UUC in general and those of the Department in particular.
