Foreign Language Department Objectives

The Department of Foreign Languages is functioning under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. At present, it is a support-giving department offering FOUR COURSES (i.e., Communication Skills, Sophomore English, Business English, and English for law), to all students of the university college, except for English for law, which only students in the Department of Law take instead of the course business English. By offering these courses, the department strives to equip students with the necessary language skills, thereby facilitating their study of other academic or major area subjects.

As a department of foreign languages, we envision to diversify the range of courses we offer. In this regard, the department is making all the necessary preparations to begin offering French and Arabic courses. The preparation for a six-month and one-year Basic Communicative French course has been finalized and registration is underway to start the course by mid November.
