In institutions of higher learning a research has, for so long, been taken as a valid tool for the improvement of the educational process, and the promotion of quality in education. Such institutions should take the read in promoting, conducting and disseminating research.

To this end, the Research and publication office of UUC has instructed all faculties and departments to establish Research and Publication Committees at their respective levels.

Accordingly, the Department of Foreign Languages has formed a Research and Publication Committee Comprising four members.
