Architecture

The Degree Program in Architecture and Urban Planning was launched in October 2002 at Unity University College. The program has received pre-accreditation from the Ministry of Education. Architecture, with its wide spectrum of exposure to knowledge and skills, is an eight-semester programme with one semester totally devoted to apprentice training with an architects’ office. The course is supported by studio sessions, site visits and regular seminars by invited guests that will consist of architects, building materials suppliers, component importers and specialized equipment suppliers and installation experts. Under the sponsorship of the school, a club established by students is responsible for arranging weekly seminars. There is much creative use of IT and computers in the Architecture profession. Consistent with the policies of the institution, three semesters of computer training are given to students.
